So let me ask you something.....when, how, and why did the political parties get divided into rich white christians vs. uncivilized heathenistic liberals?
Long ago this must have happened, where someone once said - "Republicans were the rich and white Christians while all Democrats are now the tree-loving heathenistic hippies."
When did this happen? Why did this happen?
Quite frankly I'm sick of it. I may be white but I'm not rich and I may be Christian but I am not the fanatics the other side makes us all out to be. So in saying that I am sure there has to be at least ONE Democrat out there who is normal and NOT as I described above. Where is he/she?
I mean surely this was not how it was a long long time ago in a far away land when we were young? Perhaps this name-calling, finger-pointing, label-making times started to take place in the 60's? No? Before then? Someone tell me please, and while you are at it please justify our behavior.
And by the way, totally off topic, does Barry know that Kentucky is a state in the U.S? He's going off to camp david while the snow and ice ridden state tries to dig itself out. And where is the outrage in all of this? You notice no one has said one single word about it all being Barry's fault or asks him what he is doing out to help, why did FEMA take so long to get there, and blah blah blah. Unlike the liberals when Katrina hit Louisiana. Yeah. I thought so.

I'm sure you know that there has always been a division of "party". Even under Washington there were high federalist and just federalist.
The high federalist followed Hamilton who believed in a very strong, run everything Government and then there were federalist, (who following Jefferson) were republicans. Note the small r. Jefferson did not believe in parties.
The biggest split came with Jackson and the Democrats who pushed for yet more Government.
Various stages of evolution for both parties. At one time Republicans were the party of big government. Teddy Roosevelt was progressive who pulled off the largest land grab in history with the parks system.
His cousin FDR, a socialist conned the American people with things like progressive income taxes and social security.
I think the nasty stuff started with Nixon and the Vietnam War. He got caught doing things all Presidents did, but his policies in Nam so ticked off the press they were out to get him.
Now Presidents all have to watch out for what they do and since it is merely a matter of values, they resort to name calling because you can't defend such things well with logic.
Of course when Bush won in 2000 the Dems went into full gear and things haven't and will not let up any time soon.
I should research this more and write a blog on this for you.

First, you control the schools. Safe in their white tower enclaves, liberals began undermining education from the top down. Get the teachers, you get the kids. As a nice side effect, you also get with all those classes in Whiner's Lit a good hold on journalism.
When you control the schools and the media, you get to make the definitions.
It's that simple.
The Left in all its guises has known from day 1 that to win the war on how YOU live, they have to win the war on what the meaning of is, is.
That's why the definitions - Left = good guys, Right = bad guys and all the appropriate buzz words are tagged in.

Kit is spot on. She or he really has the situation pegged which makes me think I’d be pleased to know Kit in person because we seem to see things in the same way.
